Concourse Overview

There are numerous concourses that serves in DOH and here are there information:

  • Concourse A – Qatar Airways main landing and high-end passengers. The Golf Simulator, Gym, Squash Courts, quiet rooms and the Be Relax Spa are hosted.
  • Concourse B – This area houses the Oryx Airport Hotel and the Vitality Wellbeing and Fitness Centre including a 25-metre swimming pool. Quiet rooms and sleepover pods available too.
  • Concourse C – Includes the Oryx Garden Hotel, Swimming Pool, Orchard relaxation area, Play Area, lost and found offices. Also has Sleepover facilities.
  • Concourse D – Passenger rest rooms: Quiet rooms where passengers would like to get some rest during layovers.

As soon as you enter the airport there are many services that welcome you within the airport to make your travel smoother.

Connectivity

There is free Wi-Fi in the terminal. Desks, charging stations, and internet booths Business centres are also available to those who require work. Arrivals levels have telephone and telecom booths where you can purchase and top up your SIM card.

Al Maha Meet & Greet

Medical & Emergency Services

The terminal has two 24-hour medical centres, one in the Arrivals Hall (pre-Passport Control) and the other in the Departures Hall (pre-Check-in). For emergencies, call (+974) 4010 9222.

Prayer Rooms

Numerous prayer rooms with men and women prayer areas, and complete ablution facilities are found all over the terminal. the interactive map of the airport can help to locate the closest room.

Quiet Rooms & Rest Zones

Concourses A, B, C and D have quiet rooms with recliner seats and low lighting. Family areas and Parents Rooms with water heaters and changing stations also exist.

Art at HIA

The terminal is a public gallery with more than 40 permanent art installations, such as Urs Fischer’s iconic lamp bear and Tom Otenesse’s Other Worlds playgrounds.

Special Assistance

DOH provides barrier-free access, personalized assistants to check-in and collect baggage, reserved parking, free wheelchairs, and special assistance lounges. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower programme helps passengers who require more time or better communication by giving them lanyards. Physical aids (oxygen, stretchers) and adapted washrooms are available all over the terminal.

Foreign Exchange & Banking

The terminal has more than 13 currency exchange facilities such as Travelex and Al Dar, and many ATM machines, so that you are sure to be financially prepared before you go to your next destination.

Baggage Claims

The large display at Belt 3+ can be used to locate a belt assigned to the arriving passengers. Big and delicate products come on special conveyors on Belts A and B. You will find the nearest information desk and contact your airline or visit it in case of lost or damaged baggage.

Parking At DOH Airport

The airport has a well-structured and convenient parking system where the car parks are on both sides of the passenger terminal. Customers have a variety of options in standard, long-term, premium, valet, and accessible parking, and there are electric vehicle charging points.

  • Standard Parking is best suited to short-term parking and charges begin at QAR 15 an hour and continue to QAR 145 per day.
  • In case of long trips, there is also the option of better value with promotional packages in the form of Long-Term Parking. Weekend stays of 1–3 days cost QAR 250, while 4–7 days are priced at QAR 350, and 8–14 days at QAR 450.
  • Premium Parking is the closest to the terminal, and is of particular interest to passengers of the Qatar Airways, so it has to be pre-booked. The first hour is QAR 30, the second hour is QAR 20 and the third hour is QAR 10 making it a total of QAR 60. Subsequently, there is a daily rate of QAR 200.
  • To have a smoother experience, there is the option of Valet Parking at the Departures curbside, Gate 1, and at the Arrivals level, Gate 2 opposite. It also has a minimum charge of QAR 100 per two hour stay, daily charge of QAR 275 and a two day (weekend) package of QAR 450.

Shopping

An impressive place of more than 100 stores, including luxury fashion, electronic, duty-free, perfumes, sports, and local Qatari souvenirs, are housed in the terminal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a visa required to make a layover in Doha?

As a rule, no transit visa is needed to passengers who remain less than 24 hours. In case of a longer layover, it might require a transit visa. Travelling: Before travelling, check with your airline or the Qatar immigration authority.

Do I pay to use a lounge?

Most of these lounges are free to Qatar Airways First and Business Class passengers as well as those with oneworld First and Business Class tickets. Other travellers can also have pay-per-access options.
